Example: Batch printing barcodes to a 5167 label sheet (4 columns, 20 rows) |
Step 1: Click the 'Printer Setup' button and set the paper size to: Width: 21.59 cm, Height: 27.94 cm --- standard letter paper size. If you are using A4 or other paper, set it to your actual size. |
Step 2: Set the barcode size to: Width: 3.91 cm, Height: 1.07 cm. This is slightly smaller than the label paper size to allow for some margins on the labels. The barcode size is determined by these parameters: paper size; number of labels per page (number of rows and columns); top, bottom, left, and right margins; line spacing; column spacing. You can also click the 'Calc Size' button to automatically calculate the optimal barcode size for the label paper. |
Step 3: Set the page layout for printing the labels: In this matrix label sheet, we set each page to 4 columns and 20 rows. |
Step 4: Set the label margins, leaving some margins on the label edges. When printed barcodes and labels are not aligned as intended, there could be several reasons, such as incorrect paper placement or printer inconsistencies. You can adjust the page margins in the program to align the printed positions for each label. |
Tip: Setting both 'Page Left Margin' and 'Label Left Margin' will shift the barcodes to the right on the page. The difference is that 'Page Left Margin' only affects the leftmost column of barcodes, while 'Label Left Margin' affects all barcodes. The same applies to 'Top Margin.' |

In this example, we use data imported from Excel to batch print labels. There are two ways to import data: 'Load data from Excel' and 'Copy data from Excel.' Please refer to other articles for details. |

This program predefines a series of commonly used templates, including common label papers such as 5160 and 5161. |
You can also customize your own template. Click the 'Save' button in the upper right corner of the program, or the 'Template' menu, to save the current program settings as a template file for direct use next time, without having to manually set each parameter again. |
For label sheets without predefined templates, you can use the 'Setup Wizard' program to help set the parameters. |
The program has a group of predefined templates. |
The image below shows how to automatically calculate the barcode size best suited for the label sheet. |

The above are screenshots of the standard version of the barcode program. The operation steps for the professional version are similar, as shown in the screenshot below. |

|
In Step 4, 'Label Width / Height' is automatically calculated based on the following parameters and does not require manual adjustment: |
Paper size; number of labels per page (rows and columns); top and bottom margins and left and right margins of the paper; row spacing; column spacing. |
